Canons
A Canon gives a subject somewhere stable to exist.
A Canon gives a body of work persistent operating identity and a living history. It can preserve definitions, decisions, rules, current state, boundaries and the history that explains how the work became what it is.
It is not simply a larger memory store or a better retrieval layer.

A bounded way to examine what a public move may reveal or allow others to reconstruct.

A pre-action scan of the position, dependencies and optionality created by a move.

Context over time
The question is no longer only what the model can retrieve, but what belongs to this work now.
A Canon gives the work a living history. What mattered six months ago does not have to govern today simply because it remains available to the model.
Different Canons can become relevant at different times and in different combinations. New Canons can emerge when planning, use or risk assessment exposes a structure worth preserving.
Get that right and the effect can compound: more continuity with less reconstruction, fewer stale assumptions, cleaner boundaries, stronger consistency over time and substantially more useful work from the same underlying models.
